Rural Outreach

The Trust has several programs directed specifically at improving and increasing services and communication with Alaska's rural communities.

• Rural E-Newsletter -- The Trust contracts with Agnew:Beck to send out a twice-monthly newsletter of rural grant opportunities and other funding information. Join E-List
   
• Rural Technical Assistance -- The Trust contracts with Agnew:Beck to assist rural communities and individuals in finding funding with The Trust and/or its partners.  Contact:  Thea Agnew at 907-222-5424 or email thea@agnewbeck.com.
   
• Rural Outreach Trip -- Every other year The Trust hosts state legislators, policymakers, behavioral health professionals and service providers on a visit to a specific rural region of Alaska.  The trip is aimed at increasing awareness among trip participants about key issues in the various communities, providing information about The Trust to rural residents and community leaders, and instructing The Trust on ways to better focus future initiatives and funding.
